Meet Richard

I am a lifelong Camarillo resident and a husband and father to two children. I graduated from Ventura College with an Associate's of Science degree in Criminal Justice. I have worked as an Operating Engineer for most of my career, working in challenging and demanding industries such as Oil & Gas, Critical Infrastructure, Domestic Water, Sewer, Mining, and General Construction.

With my passion and knowledge of the underwater world, I was a Search & Rescue Diver with the Ventura County Sheriff's Office for 15 years. During that time, I also taught all levels of SCUBA, from basic introductory classes to Instructor and Technical levels. 

My candidacy for the Ventura County Board of Education is driven by a steadfast commitment to prioritize the educational needs of parents and students alike. I am dedicated to delivering unwavering support to teachers and administrators, fostering an environment of efficiency and productivity.
